Good-Bye Chicken!!

On Saturday, August 30th my uncle Scott "Scotty" Christensen passed away. It has been very hard on the whole family and especially for my
Grandparents who have cared for Scotty for the past 46 years.

He was such a special person in our life and his loss has created a huge void. But I know he is now in a better place and is no longer suffering.

I created a collage of some pictures for my Grandma and here are a few of my favorites...

The last one is my favorite. It is my brother Michael and I watching TV with Scotty in his room. I don't remember what we were watching or why he was even letting us watch TV in his room but it has now become my favorite picture of my Uncle.

Ryann handled the funeral and services pretty well but she just doesn't understand it yet. She has asked all sorts of questions. I just hope that she will have good memories of Scotty things like: trains, chicken, and Lucky Charms (Scotty Cereal) and will not just remember seeing Scotty for the last time when he was sick and at the funeral.

Another Week in the Books.

What a crazy week we've had, once again. This past week was crazy. I worked on Tuesday and Thursday, BreeAnn & T. got married, we went to the zoo, to a BBQ near Strawberry and to Park City overnight!! All in one week.
BreeAnn & T.'s wedding was gorgeous. We are so happy for them and wish them all the happiness in the world. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception went without any major mishaps.
Our week had a sad ending though. As we were driving home from my mom's house on Sunday evening we were one of the first cars on the scene of a horrible roll over accident. One woman lost her life and the other passenger and the driver of the vehicle were both taken by ambulance. Jamison had to call 911 and stay at the scene of the accident to fill out reports and talk to the officers. Alcohol was involved and none of them were wearing seat belts. It really makes you appreciate life and respect the fact it can be taken away so quickly. I'm so thankful that our family was not involved in the accident, as we very likely could have been because the truck involved had just passed by us a few minutes before it happened.
Well enough seriousness. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the past week, I didn't take many at the wedding though.

Summer Time Fun

It's been a pretty good week around here. We mostly hung around at home during the week besides running a few errands here and there.

On Thursday night we took Ryann, Austyn and our niece Madysen to the Utah County Fair. The girls had a good time on the rides. We all had fun or in Madysen's words "It was a great night." Here are a few pictures of Ryann and Madysen. Poor Austyn doesn't seem to make it into to many pictures these days.

On Friday night we went to the fair again with just our family. Ryann had a good time watching the rodeo and eating cotton candy. Here are some pictures of her and Austyn at the rodeo.

Yesterday was a pretty busy day. We had BreeAnn & T's wedding rehearsal in the morning and then we went to lunch at T's parent house. I can't beleive my little sister is getting married. I am so happy for them and wish them the best of luck. I didn't take any pictures at the rehearsal but I took a few of the girls at home before we left.

Here are a few pictures of Austyn in the little red rocking chair at grandma's house. She thought it was pretty funny and would laugh everytime Jamison would set her in it. She is growing so fast!! I cant believe she will be four months next week.

Then last night we went to my cousin McKay's wedding, which was beautiful. It was at his new wife's parents house in their gorgeous backyard. Ryann had a blast playing and dancing with all the kids. Ryann, Macyn and Austyn wore their lemon dresses that we've wanting to get their pictures in all summer. I tried to take a few but the sun was in Austyn's eyes. Oh well.

This is a picture of Austyn and Colter, Hadley & Haylee's litte boy. Who is two months younger than Austyn. They are both chunks. Ryann, Presley & Macyn

We celebrated my niece Madysen's 4th birthday tonight with a BBQ and a swim party for the kids. I cant believe she is 4 already. Happy Birthday Mady!! I'll have to post some pictures later, I was having trouble with my camera tonight.
Nothing to0 exciting here this week.

A little about me and waiting for my boyfriend

Well not much going on this week except for work stuff. We have no plans for this weekend which is nice. I'm sure we'll think of something to keep us busy.

Jamison is at board meeting tonight and as I was putting Ryann to bed she informed me I couldn't go to bed without my boyfriend. I asked her who my boyfriend is and she looks at me like I'm stupid and says "daddy". I then asked her who her boyfriend is and she gets the same look on her face and says "my daddy". Little kids say the cutest things. So that is what I'm doing right now, waiting for my boyfriend to come home.

Our Crazy Week.

We had a fun filled week this past week. Monday-Wednesday we stayed home and tried to get things caught up from our camping trip.

On Thursday we went to see Amie and Brody who are visiting from Arizona. Macyn, Ryann and Brody all had fun together. Brody is the funniest little kid ever.

On Friday I took Ryann to a swim party at my friend Jacey's mom's house. She had fun playing in the water. It was hot but the kids kept cool with watermelon and cotton candy, which is a very sticky combination.

Friday night we took Amie and Brody to the rodeo in Santaquin. The kids had a good time running around on the grass and watching the clown.

We celebrated our six year anniversary this weekend. We took the horses and went up the canyon for a horse ride and stayed over night in the horse trailer. It's hard to believe we have been married for six years. I am so lucky to have Jamison in my life. He is the best husband and father anyone could ask for.

Here are six of my favorite memories from these past six years:

  • our wedding day
  • the births of our daughters
  • building and moving into our home
  • our honeymoon
  • our trip to New Mexico
  • watching Jamison turn into the wonderful father that he is.

It was a busy week and this week looks just as busy. I am going to take Austyn tonight for her 3 month pictures and will try and post them later tonight.
